Mr. Reis joined Marcus & Millichap in 2006 and currently serves as a Senior Vice President Investments and a Director in the Senior Housing Division.  Marcus & Millichap’s Senior Housing Division consists of experienced advisors and underwriters who specialize in this distinctive and operationally intensive property category.

He is responsible for the sale, leasing and financing of senior housing properties and acts as a trusted advisor to a diverse range of senior housing and healthcare real estate investors across the United States. Rob has proven himself to be a trusted and highly capable deal maker who will leave no stone unturned in his search for the right tenant, buyer, equity partner or debt provider.

Rob’s clients include local owner/operators; family offices; private equity funds; REITs; Life Cos. and regional and national operators.  He has closed nearly $1 billion in transaction volume throughout the course of his career.

Select transactions closed by Mr. Reis include the $13.5 million sale of California retirement community for an owner exiting the business; the $9 million sale of a California skilled nursing facility which was on the special focus facility list and one survey from closure; the $42 million sale of a portfolio of skilled nursing facilities in the upper Midwest in which the tenant was threatening bankruptcy; and the $90 million sale of a portfolio of seniors housing properties in Washington and California for a regional operator seeking to redeploy capital.

Rob received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont.  He enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including riding off-road motorcycles, trail running, open water swimming and golf.
